Since we took over Kulturzelt in 2019, we’ve wanted to see this band in the tent: King Khan & The Shrines are the incarnate, North Hessian dream of every fan of energetic soul / rock’n’roll / psychelic live shows.
First, there was no suitable date (the band consists of 8 members who founded the band in Kassel but are now scattered all over the world) and in the following years the pandemic prevented the psycho-soul-preacher and his band from performing at Kulturzelt.
But now it is happening: the long-awaited show of the band whose first concert in London was blown up by the police, who performed together with Bob Dylan, Neil Young and Beck, who was produced by White Stripes producer Liam Watson and about whom there are still so many stories to tell.
Another chapter will be written on 22.07 when they will hold a rock’n’roll service of superlatives in our hallowed hall.
The concert is unseated.
