Liquid – the world in a liquid, a shiny matter full of narratives that flows and needs to be shaped and reworked again and again. Otis Sandsjö is mainly and congenially at home on the saxophone and adventurously explores musical niches in various formations. In his own band Y-Otis – as in many other award-winning projects (e.g. Koma Saxo, Lucia Cadotsch) – he is joined on the road with his accompanist, bass virtuoso Petter Eldh. They play a style that can be summarised under the term liquid jazz. Influences of hip hop electro, and even pop, fuse into a sound that has them playing clubs around the world.
